Court says Eastern Michigan violated Title IX in cutting women's tennis, softball teams

Title IX win for women's college athletics and Newkirk Zwagerman. A federal judge ruled that EMU is required to reinstate their softball and women's tennis teams. The order makes clear that the school wanting to save money is not a defense to Title IX violations stating, "Reinstatement is the least the Athletic Department can do in light of its legal violations."
